My ancestors immigrated from Norway and settled into this area in 1850, feeling that it would be a good place to re-establish roots for their family. I am a life-long resident of rural Decorah and each year I still gain a higher appreciation for all the different benefits N.E. Iowa has to offer. If you drive through our downtown business district, you will notice a very high % of occupancy and good store traffic throughout the year. We have a very active Chamber of Commerce and a strong community support of the local businesses. As a Broker / Owner working with Real Estate full-time, I would like the opportunity to work with you and for you, whether it be Buying or Selling Real Estate in the area. A purchase of land or a new home is a major decision for most families.  A goal of mine is to follow the entire process through to a smooth completion for my Clients.

     Recent economic events have created a need for a Certified Short-Sale Professional (CSP) that Sellers can turn to for home sale assistance while avoiding a possible huge drop on their credit score and helping lenders / banks avoid the high costs of a traditional foreclosure on a person's home. I have access to the national CSP hotline/website for guidance and more specific information on a possible Short-Sale at my disposal whenever needed to work with Sellers and for Sellers in difficult situations.

     A successful Short-Sale can be time consuming and demanding on both a Seller and the Listing Realtor, but it does still offer advantages over just sitting by and letting a home be sold on the front steps of the courthouse by the county sheriff.

 ** Attended Decorah Community schools K - 12 ** 20 + years of farm back-ground working with dairy, swine and row-crop production. ** ISU Bachelor of Science degree 1980 in Farm Operations ** Adelante Fraternity active member from 1976 - 1980, House Manager as a Senior.
